How does WebsiteCare.Direct work?

You email a task, a real person handles it. Here's the whole process, start to finish — including what happens in the background while you run your business.

How does WebsiteCare.Direct work?

The whole service fits in one sentence: you email us your website tasks, and a real person handles them — then emails you back when it's done.

Around that, two things happen:

  • The tasks you send — content changes, new pages, form fixes, landing pages, "something's broken" — whatever your site needs, sent by email.
  • The background care — 24/7 monitoring, daily backups, malware blocking, speed checks, and updates tested in staging before they touch your live site.

No ticketing portal. No chatbots. No long-term contract — month-to-month, and unused hours roll over while your plan stays active. It feels like having a website person in your own office.

What happens after I email a task?

Three steps, and you always know where things stand:

  • Confirmation. A real person — not an autoresponder — confirms we got your task and what we understood it to be.
  • The work. We handle it. If it turns out bigger than it looked, we come back to you before doing anything that changes scope or cost.
  • Done, in plain language. You get an email when it's finished, with a short note about what changed — no jargon, no mystery.

Most small tasks are handled the same or next business day. Bigger requests get a quick scope and a timeline first.

Do I have to switch hosts or platforms?

No. We work on your site exactly where it lives — your current host, your current platform, untouched. We support WordPress, Shopify, Wix, Squarespace, and WooCommerce, and we're just as happy with a hand-built site.

If a move would genuinely help you, we'll say so and scope it separately. But it's your call, not a requirement. Most clients never move anything.

What does WebsiteCare.Direct do every month in the background?

The quiet, constant work that keeps a site healthy and out of trouble:

  • 24/7 monitoring — if the site goes down or acts strange, we know before most clients do.
  • Daily backups — offsite, with restore points, so a bad day never becomes a lost site.
  • Malware blocking and security care — because skipping updates is the #1 reason small business sites get compromised.
  • Updates tested in staging — plugin and platform updates are tried on a private copy first, so a bad update never breaks your live site.
  • Speed checks — a slow site quietly costs you customers.

That runs whether you send tasks that month or not. The tasks are on your schedule; the care never pauses.

What if I need something big, like a redesign or a migration?

Big jobs get scoped before any work starts. You approve a written, plain-language description of what will happen, what it costs, and how long it takes — then we do it. Redesigns, platform migrations, custom builds, and new sections of your site are all normal work for us.

Many clients start with ongoing care and add a project when it makes sense. No surprises means the price you approve is the price you pay.

Is there a contract or minimum commitment?

No. It's month-to-month — stop anytime, for any reason. While your plan is active, unused hours roll over and stay available; if you cancel, any unused hours expire with the plan. No use-it-or-lose-it while you're a client, but the rollover lives as long as the subscription does.

We'd rather earn the next month with good work than hold clients with paperwork. Ongoing support starts at $49/month, scoped to what your site actually needs — you'll know the number before anything starts.
