SurrenderFM is a 24/7 online radio station broadcasting original house and disco — and the website had to feel as alive as the music. So we built a living brand: a site that sings, moves with the sound, and is built on real science showing music and dance lift mood and calm the mind. Every detail exists to make visitors feel good.
This isn't a redesign — SurrenderFM started as a blank canvas. We built a living brand: a single immersive page that plays the music, moves with it, teaches you about it, and sells it — all designed to make the visitor feel something.

Every feature exists to make the visitor feel the music — and feel better for having been there. Here's how.
A live spectrum analyzer in the player, driven by the actual audio. The bars pulse and breathe with the track — the page literally moves to the music you're hearing.
In the Science section, a brain lights up in real time — bass drives a pulsing core, highs fire sparks, mids drift like smoke. It reacts to the music you're hearing, making the mental-health research tangible.
A built-in store with per-track previews. Click a track, hear a sample right in the page, then buy the album — all without leaving the station.
There's a secret on the site — a sequence that flips the whole page into disco mode and unlocks an exclusive track. We won't spoil it. Go find it.
A rolling history of what's played, with an "Up Next" ticker. Hear something you like — tap the cart button and it takes you straight to that album.
Sticky player bar stays pinned to the top of the page, so the stream and volume are always one tap away — even while you browse the store.
There's real, cited science that music and dance reduce anxiety, lift mood, and sharpen the mind. SurrenderFM's whole reason to exist is to share that feeling. So the website couldn't be a static brochure — it had to be a living brand that makes the case for music the moment you land, and makes you feel the effect while you're there.
Not a logo on a page — a brand that sings, breathes, and moves with the music. The site is the brand, and the brand is the experience.
Real research on music and mental health, paired with visuals that react to the audio. You don't just read the claim — you watch it happen.
Everything — the player, the store, the story — orbits the music. One continuous page where listening is always one tap away.
From the club-night palette to the hidden party mode, every detail is designed to lift the mood of the person on the other side of the screen.
From the brand palette to the audio wiring, every layer was hand-built to serve one goal: a living brand that makes people feel the music. Here's the work that went in.
The build: A hand-coded visual identity — hot pink signal accent, neon cyan, and a deep near-black base. Cohesive single-page layout with a full-screen smoke background and layered atmospheric effects. No template, no theme.
The build: A single audio element drives everything — the live broadcast and the on-demand track previews. It toggles between modes so play/pause, volume, and the analyzer all keep working no matter what's on.
The build: The spectrum analyzer and the brain both read the live frequency data from the audio. Bass drives the brain's pulse and the lightning, mids drive the haze, highs fire sparks. It idles calm and lights up when the music plays.
The build: A custom store for the compilation albums. Volume switcher, cover art, tracklists with per-track previews, and a buy flow that links into Square checkout. Hear a track, love it, buy it — without leaving the page.
The build: A continuously updating live broadcast feed — the current track, an Up Next ticker, and a rolling history. Every played track that's in the store links to its album for an instant purchase path.
The build: The frontend is only half the story. We stood up the streaming backend that keeps the station on air around the clock — the server that encodes and serves the audio, and the auto-DJ that shuffles and crossfades the catalog like a real club mix, with automatic restart if anything drops. Uptime and delivery are handled on the infrastructure side, not the page.
The build: The store connects to a Square checkout for payments. Albums are listed in Square, and the site's buy buttons link straight into that checkout flow — so purchases process through a trusted payment provider instead of custom payment code. The previews play in-page, the purchase happens on a secure, familiar checkout.
The build: An interactive timeline that teaches the history of house and disco, from 1970s Disco to Nu-Disco, with the key artists and what makes each style. Each style links to real tracks you can preview — learn by listening.
The build: Cited research on the mental-health benefits of music and dance, paired with the audio-reactive brain. You read the claim and watch it visualized in real time.
The build: The heavy canvas work pauses when it's off-screen, frame-skipping keeps the animation smooth, and high-DPI rendering is capped so the page stays fast even on mobile.
SurrenderFM isn't a static page — it's a living brand that sings, moves with the music, and makes its audience feel good. If your business deserves a website that does more than sit there, let's talk.
